Company Profile

In 2001, Swanline Print rented a modest 3,500 square foot factory from which it offered a trade screen print service to the corrugated packaging industry. With its acquisition by Nick and Simon Kirby and Richard Towers, further trade services associated with screen print and Swanline's existing client base were developed. However, the 'trade only' status was, and is the bedrock of the company and firmly remains the core principle of Swanline's future strategy.

Within 12 months of the acquisition, screen print capacity was trebled and parallel services, including diecutting, litho laminating and gluing, were introduced to broaden the customer base. An on-going investment programme in capital plant, and further services introduced such as constructional design and auto-diecutting with the result that the company moved into a brand new, purpose built 40,000 square foot factory in 2004.

Swanline's most recent investments include the purchase of Europe's largest format laminator, a large format automatic flatbed diecutter and a large format two colour Thieme 5060 screen print machine. In addition, a further 15,500 square feet of manufacturing space was purchased. Investments for 2010 have so far included a new Klett Cobra Express diecutter in March, followed by a Bobst Asitrade Foliostar laminator in April - positive confirmation of our continued commitment to creating new markets for customers.

Swanline's  objective is to offer a comprehensive range of confidential trade services that gives clients the opportunity to create niche value added markets in sectors with the least rivalry and hence, the best opportunity for margin - all supported by the skilled and highly experienced Swanline team.
